Christmas

Now for a photo display of our Christmas. It was such a blast to have Heidi come visit! Yeah!
Cameron was down with Aunt Heidi. What nibling doesn't love Aunt Heidi? Wasn't it Caleb that called all his aunts Heidi?
"SAAnta Claus is comin to town!" Boots with our festive jammies and drinking wassail on Christmas Eve.
We watched Scrooge, of course, while Jane slept it up on her Sleep Nurse. (She looks huge in this pic too--mostly due to foreshortening.)
Santa and parents have come to leave lots of toys under the tree and in stockings!
Christmas morning! Cameron is figuring out what to do with these gifts and Jane is our Christmas Miracle gift!
The excitement was a lot for Jane, and she had to take a nap. "A Christmas Miracle!" She is still as sweet and patient as ever!
The aftermath of the morning. A great time for children! Not such a great time for OCD me who spent hours trying to find a place for all the new stuff. Couldn't I just let it sit out for a few days? I wish.
The start of the man made Hawaiian Christmas Morning Brunch! Yah!
Heidi and I went to see the Texas capitol. It was beautiful! Here's the old state Treasury office. It's now the center for the group that preserves the history of the building and gives tours.
The rotunda and dome above. The pictures of past governors (and presidents from when Texas was it's own country) circle up each level.
Here we are in the fourth story balcony in the dome. Heidi and I were laughing because these rails were added recently for safety and were imagining what idiot things people may have done before they were there.
The Senate floor. We can't say much for the picture quality but that's what you get when you ask a stranger to take your picture. But we're together so I wanted to post it!
We ate at a lot of Austin's delish restaurants. This one was a Tex-Mex recommended by one of Heidi's friends, of all people! We're glad we found it because it's really good and I would have never stopped at it if I hadn't heard it praised. We also went shopping a lot (the crazy days-after-Christmas sales!). Them women be shoppin! We also had to showcase the city to Heidi and took her on tours of the more famous neighborhoods. We also drove around down town to show Heidi all the high rise condo towers--where she would live if she moved here.

We had such a great time! Thanks Heidi, for coming!!!

Yes, all the kids LOVE Aunt Heidi! I am sure Cam and Jane were lovin' their lives! The pix of everyone are so super cute! I love Jane being the Christmas miracle, resting sedately in the middle of the mess of bright papers and new prez! Cam looks like he got the hang of that whole present thing. Your tree and stockings look really cute!! I am so glad you had a fun time in all the stuff you did with Heidi and the kids and TyTy. Love the recount of events!!

Look at those Asian dudes behind me on the capitol railing! They were thinking about doing some dumb stuff too - good thing they put that railing up.

"SANTA Cluas is coming to town!" Heidi told me about her entry song. HA!

Don't worry, Heidi is not crying at Scrooge, she is just wiping her nose that has been running for 3 weeks now.

Sweet Christmas Miracle sleeping with her wand and baby. Little Jane is so huge pilla!

I love Heidi trying to put her but over the rail. Love Heidi's comment about the Asians behind her trying to "do something stupid" too.

OKAY! my favorites: Heidi trying to put her butt over the railing, and my all-time favorite is the picture of you all posing so nice for Christmas morning portrait, and Cameron ferociously ripping open a gift mid snapshot!!!! so funny!

Guys look like you had so much fun. I love seeing all the pictures of your guys's home, Mindy! So fancy in there!
