Nature or Nurture?

At this point, I vote nature. Who ever said that gender is only taught and infused in children from birth by society and that it is not an eternal part of their spirit that they came to this earth already possessing, never had a child.
Cameron is only 10 months old and I have NEVER, nor has Tyler, shown Cameron the "correct" way to play with cars. Nor did we give him cars from the start: he found a simple lego car in Gma Merrill's bucket of legos and knew pretty quickly what to do with it. He would crawl along beside it and push it back and forth under his hand. He liked it so well I decided to get him a couple more cars, neater cars. Well, actually Holly was very kind and gave us older cars from Caleb and Jack's large stash. They are now his favorite toys, and along with the newly AC-free windowsill he has found his new favorite game.

What a funny little guy. My nephew is all boy as well. Only he likes balls and has quite the arm on him. I think he was about Cameron's age when he threw a hard ball right in the middle of Shelby's back. Ouch! Keep growin' little man.

SO CUTE!!! I'm so glad that he likes those cars! I can definitely say that Jack and Caleb haven't even noticed they're missing. (:

It's true! Boys will naturally know how to use things they love. It's the same with toy guns. For ever I refused to get Caleb any kind of "weapon", but they will find whatever they can and make it into a gun or sword. For caleb it was the vacuum extensions until we got him an actual sword or gun. (: You can't stop nature!

I love how Cameron gets so put out when the car falls off the window sill. (:

ALL BOY! Isn't that cute that no one told him how to do that or that he should love cars. SO cute. I love seeing the videos.

I think it is great the way you encourage him to solve his "problems" on his own. Such as when you say, "Pick it up, you can get the car, it's okay." Good job Mom.

He is ALL ABOUT that car! He is so funny how he has to complain to you as well when he has to bend down, pick up the car, and temporarily stop his fun playing! I love it. He is getting so big too!
