All times are a good time to be concerned with our self reliance, but hard times are good times to start being concerned if we haven't before! In the March Ensign there are near 20 pages devoted to self reliance. I was so happy to see them. Both Tyler and I read one article called "The Celestial Nature of Self Reliance" and are going to discuss it for FHE tonight. It is a very good article. I recommend everyone who gets the magazine to read it. If you don't get it, I have included a link to it here. (link: The Celestial Nature of Self Reliance) Even if you aren't LDS I still recommend it as the article provides amazing insights to why self reliance is important, how self reliance makes us free to act and ultimately how that allows us to obey commandments and serve others. There is really something for everyone to learn. Even Tyler and I which are very careful and conscious to stay as self reliant as possible learned a lot from reading this because it comes full circle. Take the 15 minutes to look it over, it really is great. And not just that, take the time to discuss it with family and make tangible goals for changes you feel you need.

GREAT idea. I am going to use it for our FHE too! I was just wondering what to do tonight for a lesson!
Thanks for the reminder!
PS Have all of you gotten your emergency storage updated since your monetary "windfall"?
It is very good! I really liked what the talk deems important.
